Speak2MyCV for independent experts
You are the product. Everything — enquiries, credibility checks, "can you send me your background" — routes through you personally, and there is only one of you. A generic "about me" page cannot tell a journalist on deadline from a conference organiser six months out, and you do not have time to triage both the same way.
What usually gets in the way
The four things we hear most
“Every enquiry needs you personally before it can go anywhere.”
Your page carries the first conversation on your behalf, answering from the record you uploaded rather than from a script someone wrote for you.
“You send the same background document over and over and never learn what people did with it.”
One link replaces the attachment, and every question asked of it is logged so you can see what people were checking for.
“Enquiries arrive from other time zones and go cold overnight.”
The page answers at any hour and captures the contact while the person is still interested.
“Interest and intent look identical in an inbox.”
Conversations are flagged hot, warm or cold, and a weekly summary tells you which ones were which without you opening a dashboard.
“You are asked to vouch for your own credibility more often than you are asked about the work itself.”
The page answers credibility questions directly from your uploaded record, so the conversation with you can start past that point.
“Your reputation depends on people finding consistent, accurate information about you wherever they look, and you cannot police every mention.”
Your page becomes the one place that answers directly from your own record, so you at least control what happens when someone asks it.
“You are often the last person to find out how you are being described to someone else.”
The page gives anyone doing that describing a direct, accurate source to check against, instead of secondhand notes.
In an ordinary week
Where it actually shows up
A conference organiser is checking whether your background fits the panel.
They ask the page instead of you, and you find out afterwards what they were looking for.
A journalist or client wants your credentials at short notice.
One link, answered immediately, accurate to what you actually uploaded.
You want your contact details to travel with the link.
A downloadable contact card is built in, so saving you takes one tap.
You want the page inside a site you already run.
An embeddable widget puts the same conversation on your existing site.
Someone wants to check your background before inviting you to speak or advise, without emailing you first.
They ask the page directly, and you find out afterwards, from the log, that the enquiry even happened.
You are introduced to someone new at an event and they want to look you up immediately afterward.
They find the page, ask it what they actually want to know, and arrive at the follow-up conversation already informed.
Questions
Before you sign up
What exactly is a Speak2MyCV page?
A public page with your background on it that answers questions in conversation, using only the material you have uploaded. Visitors can ask follow-ups; you get the questions and the contacts.
Who can see it?
Whoever you send the link to, once you make it public. You choose what goes in it and you can take it down at any time.
How accurate are the answers?
They are drawn from your uploaded documents rather than from general knowledge, so the page does not have credentials to invent. If a visitor asks something your material does not cover, it says so plainly instead of filling the gap with a plausible-sounding guess.
What do I get in the first week?
A live link, the questions people asked it, the contacts of anyone who left one, and a flag on which conversations looked serious.
What does it cost?
You can start free without a card. Plan details are on the pricing page.
Can I use this alongside a personal website I already have?
Yes — most people embed the page or link to it from a site they already run rather than replacing it outright.
What if I only want it live for a short period, like a conference or launch?
You can take the page down from your dashboard whenever you like — there is no minimum time it has to stay public.
Does it work if my background spans several unrelated fields?
Yes — it answers only from what is in your material, so a varied background shows up as it actually is, rather than forced into one narrow bio.
Can I see who has been asking questions?
You see the questions and any contact left behind, without seeing anything the visitor did not choose to share.
Is there a way to see this working before committing to anything?
Yes — you can try it free without a card, so you can see the page answer real questions before deciding whether to keep it live.
